Sunday's Coming

Good morning, from the RGV!

This has been another great week.  The man I led to the Lord a few weeks ago went home to heaven this week. We can rejoice and praise the Lord today because he is home with the Lord. If we were here for no one else but him, it is truly worth it to be here.

My sermon this week is "  Praising God",  something I think we don't do enough of.  Even in trials, we need to praise Him.

There was a preacher that was trying to sell his horse.
A potential buyer came to the church for a test ride.
"Before you start" the preacher said, "you should know that this horse only responds to church talk. Go is "praise the Lord" and stop is "amen.""
So the man on the horse says, "Praise the Lord," and the horse starts to trot. The man again says, "Praise the Lord," and the horse starts to gallop.
Suddenly there is a cliff right in front of the horse and the man yells "Amen!!!" The horse stops just at the edge of the cliff.
Relieved, the man wipes the sweat from his brow and says, "Praise the Lord!"

Psalm 100:  "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture." "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."
This is what the Psalmist is saying, "Suddenly you realize that God has been so good to you that you can’t keep it inside any more. From the depths of your being, you shout your joy unto the Lord."

We need to live our lives so others can see the joy in us because we know God is good, all the time and all the time God is good. Rejoice and Praise the Lord today!

LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you. Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.
Don

Oh, my! Loved the intro story. I needed a giggle at the time I read it. I am battling Satan's attacks of depression. Your message was a great help. I am busy praising the Lord for all the great things He has done and is doing, I certainly will not be depressed.
