Sunday's Coming!

Good morning, from Kerrville,Tx.
Our prayers are with you again this morning and special prayers for those of you who have shared request with us.Thank you for the updates on prayer request and thank you for praying for us. This has been an expensive summer; ever day comes another opprotunity to trust God. Last Sunday we found our mystery odor, thanks to Bob Quinn. It was the battery.  So after church, off to the store for a new one. Then, our commode broke. Yea! Emmitting yet another odor and we had to order a new one at a cost of $300. Maybe it will be here today. Earlier the microwave, fireplace, and air conditioner needed repair, new tires for the truck. WOW.  Count it all joy!!!
My sermon last week was The Powerful Word of God, the BIBLE! Heb. 4:12-13
Also Isa. 55:11:
“so is the word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Whenever the Bible is taken seriously, changes in heart and society begin to take place.
1. The story has been told of a South Sea Islander who proudly displayed his Bible to a G.I. during World War II. “We’ve outgrown that sort of thing,” the soldier said. The native smiled back, “It’s a good thing we haven’t. If it weren’t for this book, you’d have been a meal by now!” (Ill. For Bib. Pr., 29).
2. C. S. Lewis, one of this century’s great Christian thinkers, was an agnostic, who wanted to disprove Christianity. He did so by going to the Bible and trying to prove it faulty. Instead of finding the errors that would discredit the Christian faith, he found the living God, and became an able defender of the faith.
How many of you have gone to the Scripture when:
a. you were faced with the death of a loved one?
b. you were discouraged to the point of giving up on life?
c. you needed direction for a decision that had to be made?

The Scripture penetrates our lives, touching us in our time of need.
May God be blessed in your life today! Open your heart to the Word of the living God.
LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you. Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living waterwith the world through the RV ministry.
Have a great day, love you, pass it on.
Don
