Sunday's Coming

Greetings from the RGV (Rio Grande Valley).
Good morning!  Like you, our days are being filled, but we do enjoy the busy-ness and getting to know those in this park. We pray all is well with you and yours. We hear from some that are having troubles and we pray for you immediately and often. If you have a prayer need please let us know so we know how to pray with you.
My sermon for Sunday will be on forgiveness.  As I was reading this morning, I read the following.
Road Rage
Fighting rush-hour traffic from suburban Maryland to Washington D.C. can cause its share of near misses and irritating moments. One morning, a young lady darted her compact car from a side street into the stream of traffic immediately in front of a driver just a few car lengths ahead of me, forcing him to brake sharply. He avoided hitting her by inches and was obviously furious. Within seconds, traffic stopped at a red light, and I watched him pull up behind the offender, leap from his car, and stride angrily toward hers. Clearly, he intended to give her a royal bawling out.
Seeing him coming, the very attractive young lady jumped from her car and ran to meet him--a big smile on her face! Before he could say one word or know what was happening, she had thrown her arms around him, hugged him tightly, and planted a passionate kiss on his lips! Then she was back in her car and driving away, leaving her antagonist standing in the middle of the street still speechless and looking somewhat confused and embarrassed--but no longer angry!

LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you. Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry.
Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning,
Greetings from the RGV (Rio Grande Valley).
Finally, I am feeling closer to normal after battling bronchitis for more weeks than I should have. Praise the Lord for good meds and doctors.
While reading in "Seeds From the Sower," this morning, the following really spoke to me:
MAKE SOMEONE HAPPY
The famous comedian, Jimmy Durante, was doing his best to meet the deadlines in a tight schedule. While traveling from one location to another, someone asked him to visit a Veteran's Hospital. He agreed to do so, however, he emphasized that he would only be able to spare a few minutes.
He began his visit with a short monologue. The vets were thrilled and applauded loudly. The more he entertained, the louder the applause. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and forgot about the time. He stayed much longer than he had intended. Finally, he took his last bow.
Knowing of his schedule, someone asked, "What happened?"
"I was supposed to leave much sooner," he said, "But look at those two vets in the front row. I couldn't let them down."
One of the men had lost his right arm and the oter his left. Left to themselves, they were incomplete. But together they were able to clap. And this they did wildly and happily. It was a moment of great happiness for the comedian and the vets. Unfortunately, it did not last.
For the Christian, however, it can be a permanent condition if our hearts are right with God.
Real happiness is ours when we have a right relationship with God. Regardless of what we may be facing, we can be happy in the Lord knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake us, and that one day we will be with Him, forever.
Psalm 68:3 But let the godly rejoice.
Let them be glad in God’s presence.
Let them be filled with joy.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning,
We are in Pharr, Texas. We had our third Sunday service last week and it went pretty well. I think I am catching on to the way they want the service to go but, keep us in your prayers.
Todays Bible Thought :
Luke 17:11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Only one of the ten decided to go back and give thanks, and he was a Samaritan. The Jews looked down on the Samaritans, yet it was a Samaritan who came back to give thanks.
How like us it is to forget to give thanks. We are so quick to ask for God's help. But we also need to remember to give Him praise when He comes through for us. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I urge each of you to look back and remember the requests you have made to the Lord and how He answered them. I also urge you with a thankful and grateful heart to say thank you for each of them.
May you have a Blessed day! Happy Thanksgiving!

Sunday's Coming

Good morning , we are in Pharr, Texas. This is our winter "assignment" here at the Tip O'Texas RV Resort and we will be here until the end of April, God willing.  We had our first Sunday service last week and it went pretty well.  They do a lot of things that will take us a little time to adjust to them. We had a good turn out and in most part, they were glad we are here. Keep us in your prayers.
Todays Bible Thought (from Seeds From The Sower):
Learn to Write in the Sand*

Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument; and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: “Today my best friend slapped me in the face.”

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “Today my best friend saved my life.”

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “after I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”

The friend replied “when someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your blessings in stone.

Matthew 18:21 - 23 (KJV) 21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you, and you can etch that in stone!  Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning,
We are in Pharr, Texas. It has been extremely windy and warm. I have to ask, “God are you sure this is where you want us?” Then I remember James 1:1-4. I know through it all, He will be glorified and I will have peace and joy.
Todays Bible Thought (from Seeds From The Sower):
It seems as though everyone is experiencing dificult days and troubling times.
Recently a father wept as he said,” My son lost everything and I wasn't able to help him!”
When we face feelings of fear and frustation, when threats overtake us, when we sense our limitation, we need to remember God's promises.”
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.” PS. 46:1
Praise God He is our refuge in times of trouble so He can keep us in our difficult times. What a great God we serve!
LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you, thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by giving in many ways, by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning,
We are still in Waco, Texas visiting family and friends.
Todays Bible Thought:
Teasing*
My grandson, Justus, age 10, and his sister Taylor, age 13, were always teasing each other. One day, Justus was getting "sensitive" about things his sister was saying to him. I reminded him that he had said the same types of things many times in days past.

With quiet reflection, he spoke a gospel truth: "But it doesn't hurt as much coming out of my mouth as it does going into my ears."

Illustration: While stopped at a red light a man noticed that the car ahead of him had a bumper sticker that read, “Honk If you love Jesus!” The man loved Jesus, so he honked. Angerly the driver in front shouted, “Whats wrong with you, fool? Can't you see the light is red?”
There are many of us who say one thing with our lips but another with our lives. John tells us we are to live our lives as Jesus did.
So watch what you say and how you act, someone is watching.

LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you , thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by giving in many ways, by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry. You encourage us beyond words.
Have a great day, love you, pass it on.
