Sunday's Coming

Good morning, from Kerrville,Tx.
Our prayers are with you again this morning and special prayers for those of you who have shared request with us.  Special prayers for those who have lost loved ones and those who are battling serious illness.
My sermon last week was on How Doubt Destroys Our Prayers. Read Mark 11: 22-26
We need to pray believing God not only hears us but will answer. I read the following from the Seeds from the Sower.
Pray Believing:
Hudson Taylor, missionary to China, was on a trip from England to China on a sailing ship. It became stranded for lack of wind. It drifted into a current that was taking it toward an island of cannibals. Alarmed, the captain went to Taylor and said, “We're drifting into that cannibal island. Pray for wind.”
“I will pray," said Taylor, "if you will hoist the sails." And Taylor began to pray. In a few minutes the captain shouted, "Mr Taylor stop praying! We have more wind than we know what to do with.”

When we pray we need to expect God to answer (Vs 24)
May God be blessed in your life today! When we pray pray this: Father in times of doubt and defeat may we keep our eyes on you and our faith in you.
LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you. Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living waterwith the world through the RV ministry.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning, from Kerrville,Tx.
Our prayers are with you again this morning and special prayers for those of you who have shared request with us.

My sermon last week was on giving thanks to the Lord. We are quick to ask God for things but when He answers we are slow to thank Him. As I was reading this week, I read the following:

Be Thankful

It was rush hour in New York City. People were leaving work, anxious to get home. Pushing, shoving, and glaring angrily at those not walking fast enough. The crowd seemed intent on getting on where they were going with no one being concerned for the safety of others.

In the midst of it all was one man singing as loudly as he could. Sitting in a wheelchair, he was pushing himself along with his arms, being careful to avoid bumping or running into anyone.

A man, who had been walking along side him, touched him gently on the arm. “Tell me Sir, you have been making your way through the crowd for quite some time. You have been singing loudly and smiling graciously. You have no legs, you have to push yourself in an old wheelchair, and yet you appear happy and joyful. How do you do it?”

Looking the stranger in the eye, he said,”When I stopped looking at what I had lost, and began looking at what I had left, I realized that I could sing again.”

As Christians, we must realize that God will, if we allow Him, bring us His joy even in times of trials, troubles and pain.

I Thess. 5:
16 Rejoice always;
17 pray without ceasing;
18 in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

May God be blessed in your life today! May you be quick to say thank you even during the trials you are going through.

LaVon and I are truly thankful to God for each of you. Thank you for your continual support and interest in our ministry by investing yourself in many ways as partners with us: by prayer, e-mails, phone calls and your financial gifts. Without any of these we could not continue what God has called us to do and that is to share the living water with the world through the RV ministry.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good morning, from Kerrville,Tx.
We pray every morning for you; if you have something specific, please let us know so we can pray with you.
My sermon last week was on expressing our love to God.
Illustration: Sally was sitting in her rocking chair hugging and kissing her favorite doll. Every now and then she would glance up at her mother who was working at her desk.
As soon as her mother finished her work, Sally jumped from her rocker, ran to where her mother was sitting, climbed in her lap, gave her a hug and kiss and said, “I'm sure glad you are through working. I want to love you!”
But I thought you were having a good time loving your doll.”
I was, but she never loves back.”

GLU- God loves you!
God wants us to love Him in return.

Psalm 116:12, he says
"How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me? How can I show him how much He means to me?"
To express our love for God, we must talk to God. Live for God, and serve God.
When we pray we are quick to ask for things but when He answers how quick are we to say thank you Lord? How do we live our lives? Does the world see Jesus in our life? Are we quick to serve, if we see a need?
I want to ask you this morning, "Do you love the Lord?
Is it evident in the way you live your life?
Is it reflected in your giving?
May God be blessed in your life today!
