Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Thank you for your prayers as we continue to meet and make a difference here.

Many of you have been in our church service and have heard me say “ This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps. 118:24    You have a choice each day to be happy or angry. Today is Tuesday we can choose to have a terrible day or a terrific day it is about our attitude.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ― Charles R. Swindoll*

Today what are you going to choose?

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and finances.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Thank you for your prayers as we continue to meet people and seek to make a difference here.

We have received several prayer needs regarding death and health issues. I just want you to know, LaVon and I pray for each of these request often until we here back from you.

David overcame some of life’s worst situations by making confident requests of God, calmly reasoning with God, and acknowledging he had cause for rejoicing because God would assuredly answer his prayers.

What has failed you in your life? The company you counted on? The spouse you trusted? Your health? When your world collapses before your eyes, do you turn to God, the Rock, or do you wonder how God allowed this to happen to you?

David’s proven method of running to God will help you find direction for and protection from the difficulties you are facing right now. He is your Rock, your unfailing refuge in times of trouble.

Prayer: God, I need to run to You, my Rock, today. Teach me how to pray confidently, knowing that You will answer my prayers. Amen.

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2).

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and finances.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

I was walking in the park talking to some of the residents and one in particular told me how glad he was for us being here. He has recently gone through a divorce. He told me how it encouraged him to talk and listen. Even if we are not preaching we are sharing the Word.

We have received several prayer needs, death and health issues. I just want you to know, LaVon and I pray for each of these request often until we here back from you.

When we lose a loved one—He is inviting us to draw near to Him in our sadness. When we experience an illness—He is inviting us to trust that our future is in His hands.

Although God often gives us glimpses of how He is working in our lives, we will never know exactly what He is doing. We cannot control the past, present, or future, but we can choose how we will respond.
In seasons of silence, doubt, and heartache, how will you respond? Will you let fear, anger, and distrust win, or will you press into the only One who can bring you peace, healing, and redemption? When the storms come—and they will—run into the open arms of Christ.

Prayer: Lord, You are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love (Psalm 145:8). When I experience disappointment or loss, I pray that my first response would be to run to You. Amen.

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8).

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and gifts.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Pray for us as we meet new people and that we will be an example for them and make new friends. May there be an interest in a Bible study and get people interested in the Bible and the message of the Gospel.  May we be an encouragement to the Christ followers here.

My reading today was this by “The Sower”;

BETTER THAN SILVER AND GOLD

A pastor who served people in a ghetto was visiting a family that was going through a difficult time of making ends meet. As he got up to leave, he noticed an old well-worn Bible on a shelf. As he neared the door he said, “I saw something in this room that has more value than any amount of money. I wonder if you will ever find it.”
A few days later while dusting the shelves one of the children discovered the Bible. Taking it to her Dad she asked, “Could this have been what the preacher-man was talking about? Wonder if this is what he meant.”
Holding it very carefully he placed it on the table and took great care to open it. Then he looked down and noticed a verse that was underlined with a red pencil: “The law from Your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.”
He began to weep quietly as his wife and children sat silently around him. Finally, he was able to speak and said, “This is my Mother’s Bible. Before she died, she gave it to me and asked me to read it every day and I promised her that I would. But, I let her down and I’ve let you - my family - down. Maybe God led us to this difficult place just so we would find this verse she underlined to help us.”

God works in many strange and subtle ways. He even brings times of difficulty and desperation into our lives to get our attention. He has never promised that our days would always be filled with sunshine and blue skies. But, He has promised that when we look to Him and His Word we will find salvation, hope and encouragement.

Prayer: Help us, Heavenly Father, to realize the wealth we will find in Your Word when we have nothing else left. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Scripture for Today: Psalm 119:72
The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and finances.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

We continue in prayer as to what the Lord wants us to do. There are many pipeline workers in the park, most being welders. Pray for us as we meet new people and that we will be a Christian example for them and make new friends.

My reading today was this by “The Sower”;

FRIENDS
Will and his friends had an enjoyable afternoon playing in his back yard. Suddenly there was a severe disagreement and he shouted, “Go home. I can play by myself.”His father heard the “noise” and asked, “What happened, son?”Angrily he said, “They wouldn’t let me have my turn on the teeter-totter so I told them to go!”“Well,” said his Dad, “let me see how it works with you on one end and no one else on the other.”
Life is very much like a teeter-totter. We need to have others around to make it “work.” And no matter how many friends we may have it seems like there is always room for another one.

Scripture for Today: Psalm 119:63 - I am a friend to all who fear You, to all who follow Your precepts.

We are grateful for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and finances and say "Thank you."

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.
