Sunday Is Coming

Good Morning,

Thank you for your prayers as we know God is answering and is guiding us. LaVon and I want to wish each of you a Happy Easter!

The Only One Who Conquered Death by Adrian Rogers

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” - 1 Corinthians 15:55

Harry Houdini was an escape artist. They tried all kinds of ways to keep Harry Houdini locked up. They would bury him in a coffin, but he would get out. They would sew him up in canvas bags and throw him in the river, but he would come out. His biographer said he could “escape from anything, except your memory.”
Yet there came a day when Harry Houdini died and he did not escape. No trickery there. Harry Houdini did not escape the iron-clad clutches of death. But I want to tell you there was another who died. His name was Jesus, and He made the great escape. Jesus came out of the grave and He arose. Praise God, Jesus is alive!

THE BIBLE SAYS: Then the angel spoke to the women, "Don't be afraid!" he said "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember, I have told you. Matthew 28:5-7 New Living Translation

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and financial. When I am down we receive one of the above from one of you and God reminds me He is still here and that each of you are here with us. So Thank You.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Thank you for your prayers; we know God is answering and will guide us.

Last Sunday I preached the last sermon in the "I AM' series, "I Am the Vine." When we stay connected to the vine, God, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and He flows through us and from us.

Paul, in the 5th chapter of Galatians, tells us that when we’re filled with the Holy Spirit we’ll see evidence the fruit of the Spirit in our lives: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control."

I want to focus on just one fruit of the Spirit this morning: patience.

The story is told of an artist who went to visit an old friend. When he arrived, she was weeping. He asked why. She showed him a beautiful handkerchief that had great sentimental value, but which had been ruined by a spot of indelible ink.
The artist asked her to let him have the handkerchief, which he returned to her by mail a few days later. When she opened the package she could hardly believe her eyes. The artist, using the inkblot as a base, had drawn on the handkerchief a design of great beauty. Now it was more beautiful & more valuable than ever.
Sometimes the tragedies that break our hearts can become the basis for a more beautiful design in our lives. Be patient with the hurts over which you have no control. In God’s hands they may even become a source of healing, help, & beauty.

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and financial. When I am down we receive one of the above from one of you and God reminds me He is still here and that each of you are here with us. So Thank You.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Thanks for your prayers. Praise the Lord, He is faithfully answering.

I start most services with a repeat-after-me-statement from scripture: Psalm 118:24 - "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it." Followed by “Put a smile on your face.”

This morning, I read this from Adrian Rogers:

Don’t Forget to Wear It!
“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.” - Proverbs 15:13
What is a smile? Someone once wrote:
“A smile costs nothing, but creates much good. It enriches those who receive it without impoverishing those who give it away. It happens in a flash, but the memory of it can last forever. No one is so rich that he can get along without it. No one is too poor to feel rich when receiving it. It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and nature’s best anecdote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen.”
When you get dressed this morning, don’t forget to put on a smile. Wear a smile all day from the inner joy that only Jesus can bring to your heart.

If you don’t feel an inner joy... Then ask for one!

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and financial. When I am down we receive one of the above from one of you and God reminds me He is still here and that each of you are here with us. So Thank You.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.

Sunday's Coming

Good Morning,

Thanks for your prayers; God is answering. We continue to grow each week. We have been asked many times if we are coming back to this park next season and I really don't know. Pray with us for God's direction.

My sermon last week was on Prayer. I said first we should Praise God, adore Him , brag on Him!

Strength through Worship

“But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.” - (John 4:23)

When we worship on earth, we are in tune with what is happening in heaven. The Book of Revelation gives us this description of worship in heaven: “And they sang in a mighty chorus: ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing’ ” (5:12).

Sometimes we don’t understand why things are the way they are. But when we come and worship, when we hear the Word of God, it helps us gain perspective.

When my wife died on a Sunday, I was in church the following Sunday. People told me my faith was so strong. But actually my faith was weak. I needed help. I needed God’s people. I needed to worship God. I needed to hear a Bible study. When I left the house it was if God was speaking to me and He said “Draw near to me and I will draw near to you.”

And the moment I walked into church, I was surrounded by God’s people. I knew they were praying for me. It helped me gain perspective and see God for who He is and see my problems for what they are. Sometimes we have big problems because we have a small God. But if we have a big God, then we will see, comparatively speaking, that we have small problems.

When we are praising the Lord on earth, we are joining the chorus of heaven. And God is looking for people to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

So whatever you are going through today Praise God and worship Him.

We want to thank you for your support through your prayers, calls, e-mails and financial. When I am down we receive one of the above from one of you and God reminds me He is still here and that each of you are here with us. So Thank You.

Have a great day, love you, pass it on.
