Sunday Is Coming
Good morning from Suncape RV resort in Arizona,
It has been another great week. Our service Sunday was so moving as the Spirit of the Lord was truly present.
We, as a church body, reached out to a local church to help send their youth to camp this summer. I was told there was no way apart from God that these kids could come up with the money to go. The youth minister brought seven youth with him to be a part of our service. We, as well as the youth, were blessed. God used us to collect enough money to send all 15 of their youth to camp. Around $2500 has been given and people continue coming by, leaving money for "our kids." What a great God we serve.
Will you join me in prayer, thanking God for putting us here for such a time as this.
Thanks again for your support. Without you guys giving to our ministry, we wouldn't be able to continue the work. I also want to thank you for your emails, prayers and phone calls. They encourage us and keep us from being so home sick.

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."— I John 3:16-18
A little boy was told by his doctor that he could actually save his sister's life by giving her some blood. The six-year-old girl was near death, a victim of disease from which the boy had made a marvelous recovery two years earlier. Her only chance for restoration was a blood transfusion from someone who had previously conquered the illness. Since the two children had the same rare blood type, the boy was the ideal donor.
"Johnny, would you like to give your blood for Mary?" the doctor asked. The boy hesitated. His lower lip started to tremble. Then he smiled and said, "Sure, Doc. I'll give my blood for my sister."
Soon the two children were wheeled into the operating room-Mary, pale and thin; Johnny, robust and the picture of health. Neither spoke, but when their eyes met, Johnny grinned.
As his blood siphoned into Mary's veins, one could almost see new life come into her tired body. The ordeal was almost over when Johnny's brave little voice broke the silence, "Say, Doc, when do I die?"
It was only then that the doctor realized what the moment of hesitation, the trembling of the lip, had meant earlier. Little Johnny actually thought that in giving his blood to his sister he was giving up his life! And in that brief moment, he had made his great decision!

Sunday's Coming
Good morning again,
We are busy and God is at work around us. We started a prayer group meeting in our house 3 weeks ago. We had 3 people the first meeting then the next we had 8 but, yesterday there was 13 people in our little house!
Praise the Lord!
We have seen God answer prayers right away.
One of our prayers: We are helping a small church in an under privilaged area raise money to send their youth to camp this summer and my prayer is that we step up, as a church body, and give.
Keep us in your prayers as we continue doing what the Lord leads us to do.
Also, pray for our summer as we are going back to Norman, Oklahoma for the summer to be with our mothers for a bit, and my prayer is that I will be able to preach somewhere while we are there.
Thanks again for your support, prayers and phone calls. You just can't immagine how encouraging those are for us.

How are you spending your time? Are you productively making a positive difference with your life?
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. You can choose to make it a wonderful day with God. Go for it!

Sunday's Coming
Good morning again,
It is that time already. I pray you are well. I pray you enjoy the devotional below as much as I did.
We started prayer groups two weeks ago that meet at 10am on Tuesday mornings. We had 8 in our house and a great dayBefore, the day was over, God had already answered a major prayer for this park. May God continue to hear us and answer our prayers and do a great work in this park.

HAVE YOU SHARPENED YOUR AXE?
A young man approached the foreman of a logging crew and asked for a job.
"That depends," replied the foreman. "Let's see you fell this tree."
The young man stepped forward and skillfully felled a great tree. Impressed, the foreman exclaimed, "You can start Monday."
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday rolled by. Thursday afternoon the foreman approached the young man and said, "You can pick up your paycheck on the way out today."
Startled, the young man replied, "I thought you paid on Friday."
"Normally we do," said the foreman. "But we're letting you go today because you've fallen behind. Our daily felling charts show that you've dropped from first place on Monday to last place today."
"But I'm a hard worker," the young man objected. "I arrive first, leave last and even have worked through my coffee breaks!"
The foreman, sensing the young man's integrity, thought for a minute and then asked, "Have you been sharpening your axe?"
The young man replied, "No sir, I've been working too hard to take time for that!"
Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don't take time to "sharpen the ax."
In today's world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever but less happy than ever. Why is that? Could it be that we have forgotten how to stay sharp?
There's nothing wrong with activity and hard work. But God doesn't want us to get so busy that we neglect the truly important things in life, like taking time to pray, to read and study scripture or to listen to "the still small voice of God." We all need time to relax, to think and meditate, to learn and grow.
If we don't take time to sharpen the axe, we will become dull and lose our effectiveness. Take time today to sharpen your axe!

Sunday's Coming
Good morning from Arizona once again,
LaVon and I are busy but the work is very rewarding. We had a great Sunday even if I wasn't feeling good. God always gives me just enough strengh to make it through the service. I preached on encouragement the importance of encouraging others.
Your emails and phone calls are an encouragement to me. Thanks! Please keep them coming.

Hidden Treasures
And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name" (Isaiah 45:3, NLT).
Did you know there are treasures hidden on the inside of you? There are gifts, talents, and abilities inside of you that you don’t even know about.
Oftentimes, it's during seasons of difficulty or darkness that those hidden treasures are revealed to us. When we go through times of adversity, strength arises, new abilities arise, new talents. We are "reinvented" so to speak.
If you are going through a difficulty today, if you lost your job or a loved one, remember, God still has a purpose for you. He'll take what the enemy meant for evil, and He’ll turn it around for your good.
Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping because He's ready to reveal those hidden treasures on the inside of you!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You with an open and humble heart. Let Your Word sink deep into my Spirit. I trust You and look for the hidden treasures You have deposited on the inside of me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
